  I had priority snow removal service with Woods. There was a large snowstorm last night. All of my neighbours were blown out today by 8am. By 11am I still wasn't plowed. I tried calling and emailing Woods multiple times from 8am to 11am as my partner had to work, however they did not respond and they do not have a direct line outside of “business hours” and it was Sunday. I called True North Snow Removal (who had already plowed my friends driveway by 8am) who answered immediately and had plowed my driveway within 10 minutes. Woods later told me "everything was closed. Just trying to reduce our carbon impact." My partner had to work at the hospital (which does not close) and people have other multiple commitments outside of the closure of local retail businesses. I am unsure how plowing a driveway in the afternoon instead of the morning reduces carbon impact. If you need prompt service (or someone to answer customer inquiries for that matter) I would recommend you look elsewhere, (i.e True North Snow Removal). This is also a safety concern for adults or people living alone that would not be able to exit their home in event of an emergency such as a fire, propane leak etc.
